President (Maria):  Welcome everyone to the November 19th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council. I call this meeting to order. 

Vice President (Tristan):  SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:

President (Maria): It's time for celebrations! Let's go around and celebrate your SOs!

Agenda Item #1: Review of the Great General Pumpkin Party

We had 28 pumpkins submitted for the competition!
The Winner of the Golden Pumpkin Award was Band with over 200 votes! YES!
Congratulations!


Thank you to everyone who submitted a pumpkin. Without you, the first #GGPP would not have been a success. Here's to an even better Great General Pumpkin Party next year!


Vice President (Tristan): 
Agenda Item #2Service Opportunities

The SOC will be volunteering for the Boston Oyster Supper on 
November 13th @ 5:00 pm (This Friday). We would like as many people to sign up as possible for this service opportunity. 

There is also a new service opportunity available on November 18th and 19th at Windsor Gardens. Residents will be allowed to have two guests eat Thanksgiving dinner with them and they could use some extra hands setting up, serving drinks, etc. The dinner will be served at 5:00 but students should arrive around 4:00 for preparation. If you are interested, please sign up using the linked document below.

Boston 21st Century Program-
They need volunteers on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 to help with homework and participate in activities with the children. If you are interested in volunteering, pick up one of these volunteer sheets you must have signed off on.

Agenda Item #3: Community Service Celebrations and Calendar

Speaking of community service, it is now time to celebrate your recent involvement within community service. We will take 2 minutes to share our experiences.

There is nowCommunity Calendar available for all of your community service wants and needs! Keep track of upcoming service opportunities through this calendar!

Bring in your sports schedules next Monday to determine a date! 

What we need to determine for Winter Formal:
Theme, Date/Time, DJ, Decorations, Cost of Ticket, Ticket Selling Sign-Ups, Creating the Ticket, Tuesday Newsday Advertising, Concessions, Coat Check, Sign-Ups for Decorations and Cleaning up Afterwards, CONTRACTS (You must update every year-even if you have had one in the past)
