President (Maria):  Welcome everyone to the October 19th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council. I call this meeting to order. 

Vice President (Tristan):  SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:  
2. SOC Shoutouts (Enthusiasm Shoutouts to Teachers, Students, etc.)

Vice President (Tristan):  Treasurer will you please share the balance report.

Treasurer (Nada):  Reviews SOC activity balance Google.

President (Maria) It is now time for New Business. 

Agenda Item #1: Review of Great General Pumpkin Party

Monday, October 26th will be The Great General Pumpkin Party. The party will be from 3:15-5:00 in the Commons.
Bring your completed pumpkins to the Commons on October 26th (Next Monday).

The pumpkins will be judged and the winner will be determined by members of the Nelson County Board of Education on Thursday, October 29th. The winners will be announced on Friday, October 30th.

Everyone is invited! Our goal is to have 50 students in attendance.

Vice President (Tristan): 
Agenda Item #2: Boston Oyster Supper and Ed Camp Kentucky Service Opportunities

The SOC will be volunteering for the Boston Oyster Supper on 
November 13th @ 5:00 pm. We would like as many people to sign up as possible for this service opportunity. 

We also need volunteers for Ed Camp Kentucky this Saturday from 8am-3pm.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program provides your school with an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of volunteerism throughout the student body and to recognize students who have distinguished themselves through community service. 

If you have participated in community service activities over the past year, fill out the following application:
