President (Nada):  Welcome everyone to the August 29th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council.  I call this meeting to order.

Vice President (Joanna):  SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:

Vice President (Joanna):  Treasurer will you please share the balance report.

Treasurer (Kendall):  Reviews SOC activity balance Google.

President (Nada):  It is now time for New Business.

• IF you have a planner, piece of paper, or phone please take that out, we will have a lot of dates for you guys to remember

Agenda Item #1: Fall RUSH

1. The theme for RUSH week: Fall into RUSH
2. Vote on spirit themes for RUSH week

Look over your ideas for Spirit Days on the following document: RUSH Theme

Edit ideas (if needed) for 2 minutes.

Call for a vote:

3. RUSH T-Shirts

1. Design drafts submit by Tuesday
2. Vote during  next meeting which will be Tuesday

Vice President (Joanna) Agenda Item #2: Ironhorse/Lip Dub

1. September 10th, Iron Horse Festival. It begins  at 2:15, but SOC Representatives be there by 1:45
1. Posters need to be made by Sept 6th
2. If you plan on attending please sign up on the following document: Sign Up
2. LIP DUB
1. Tailoring it first House Pride Rally rather than Fall Rush Week
2. Needs to be completed by Sept 25th
3. Establish a date to begin recording

Vice President (Claire): Agenda Item #3: Girls Soccer Honoring Taylor

1. Tailgating September 12th
1. Taylor Martin Celebration- halftime (letting go of balloons)
1. Mini Fundraiser
2. What the soccer team wants this to look like?

Director of Public Relations (Rachel): Agenda Item #4: Homecoming

1. Article VI (Requirements to be nominated for Homecoming)
2. A boy and girl will be nominated from each SO/club. They must be a senior and fulfill the requirements outlined in Article VI.
3. When did voting occur last year?  
4. How far ahead were the nominations picked?

Treasurer (Kendall): Agenda Item #5: Student LEADERship Templates

1. DUE Wednesday, August 31st Student LEADERship Templates
2. Make sure to create a slide and fill out your information!
3. If you are a SOC and Peer/General leader only fill our ONE!

President (Nada): Agenda Item #6: Student Organization Legacy Core/ SO Video

1. Goal: Need Sponsors to complete a Legacy Core page outlining their mission/vision, rituals, fundraising, and service plans for the year.
1. Your SO should input their info to this presentation: Legacy Core
2. Fall clubs and sports deadline to fill this out  is Sept 25th
3. Classes will begin looking at these Sept 6th
2. Create Video
1. about what Student Leadership means in SOs (name for commitment)
2. Will be shown in classes beginning Sept 6th
