President (Nada): Welcome everyone to the August 22th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council. I call this meeting to order.
Let's start by introducing ourselves, sharing an interesting fact, and why you are excited to be a part of the SOC for this upcoming year.
President (Nada): SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:
Vice President (Joanna): Treasurer will you please share the balance report.
Vice President (Claire): It is now time for New Business.
Agenda Item #1: Tailgating/ Iron Horse
- August 26th- TNHS Football vs. Bethlehem - Be there to support your house.
- September 10th, Iron Horse Festival. It is at 2:15 but be there by 1:45
3.) September 12th
- Taylor Martin Celebration- halftime (letting go of balloons)
- Mini Fundraiser
President (Nada) : Agenda Item #2- Fall RUSH Week

- Theme Ideas/Song Ideas for the Lip Dub
- Idea- Use the song My House by Flo Rida

2.) Establish a date for filming the Lip Dub- Needs to be before Rush Week
Director of Public Relations (Rachel): Agenda Item #3: Homecoming (Nominations and Homecoming Protocol)
Article VI (Requirements to be nominated for Homecoming)
An email will been sent out to all sponsors of Students Organizations and clubs explaining the protocol and requirements. A boy and girl will be nominated from each SO/club. They must be a senior and fulfill the requirements outlined in Article VI.
Vice President (Joanna): Agenda Item #4: Spirit Days
- Discuss Modeling Theme on Tuesday
- Vote on themes for RUSH week

Vice President (Claire): Agenda Item #5: Booths in the Commons
Every SO and club is responsible for having a booth at Fall RUSH. This is a time for your Student Organization or Club to increase its membership and spread its name. Make sure you have a booth in the Commons during RUSH Week (September 19th-September 23th).
Treasurer (Kendall): Agenda Item #6: Student LEADERship Templates
DUE FRIDAY: Student LEADERship Templates
Make sure to create a slide and fill out your information!
President (Nada): Agenda Item #7: Student Orginization Legacy Core
- Goal: Need Sponsors to complete a Legacy Core page outlining their mission/vision, rituals, fundraising, and service plans for the year.
- Your SO should input their info to this presentation: Legacy Core
