President (Maria):  Welcome everyone to the August 17th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council.  I call this meeting to order. 
Let's start by introducing ourselves, sharing an interesting fact, and why you are excited to be a part of the SOC for this upcoming year.

Vice President (Tristan):  SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:

2. SOC Shoutouts (Enthusiasm Shoutouts to Teachers, Students, etc.)

Vice President (Tristan):  Treasurer will you please share the balance report.

Treasurer (Nada):  Reviews SOC activity balance Google.

President (Maria):  It is now time for New Business.

Agenda Item #1: Fall RUSH Week

1.) Theme Ideas/Song Ideas for the Lip Dub

Director of Alumni Affairs (Erika): Agenda Item #2: Tailgating 
How are we going to get seniors back from last year?
What day will we have tailgating? What do we want this to look like?

President (Maria): Agenda Item #3: Homecoming (Nominations and Homecoming Protocol) 

Article VI (Requirements to be nominated for Homecoming)

An email has been sent out to all sponsors of Students Organizations and clubs explaining the protocol and requirements. A boy and girl will be nominated from each SO/club. They must be a senior and fulfill the requirements outlined in Article VI.

Public Relations Chair (Abby Wathen): Agenda Item #4: Spirit Days

Secretary (Ciara): Agenda Item #5: Booths in the Commons
Every SO and club is responsible for having a booth at Fall RUSH. This is a time for your Student Organization or Club to increase its membership and spread its name. Make sure you have a booth in the Commons during RUSH Week (September 8th-September 11th). 


Treasurer (Nada): Agenda Item #6: Student LEADERship Templates

Make sure to create a slide and fill out your information! 

Vice President (Tristan): Agenda Item #7: Cheer Shoutouts (Cheer Representative-Emily Thomas)

They want to petition the SOC for $200 to be used for supplies in order to decorate lockers.
