Student Organization Council Mission and Vision

TNHS SOC Mission-
The mission of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council is to build a stronger connection within our school and local community. We are laying a foundation - that future generals can use for inspiration - by developing relationships, embodying qualities of leadership, and encouraging the pursuit of Ideas.

TNHS SOC Vision 3 Core Ideas: 

The SOC will… 

1. SERVE as local citizens to the Thomas Nelson High School and surrounding community.
2. CONNECT by building unity among student organizations and partners in the community of Thomas Nelson High School.
3. CREATE and oversee rituals and traditions to demonstrate CARE for our student organization programs.

#1. SERVE Local Citizens to TNHS Community

The SOC CONNECT to represent the voice of the student body by bringing perspectives from all student organizations at Thomas Nelson High School.
1. One representative from every student organization will be granted a seat on the SOC.
2. Morning Cup of Goe collaborations will serve as a time to celebrate, vision, and set goals for SO program building.
3. SO representatives may propose action items which will be voted on following the specified protocol.

#2. CONNECT by Building Unity Among All Student Organizations and partners in the community of Thomas Nelson High School

The SOC will partner with all student organizations and local community partners to strengthen and CONNECT as local citizens.

#3. CREATE and LEAD rituals/traditions to demonstrate CARE for our student organization programs.

The SOC will initiate and LEAD opportunities that promote enthusiasm and events that allow students to be involved in our school community.
