President (Maria):  Welcome everyone to the December 14th meeting of the Thomas Nelson High School Student Organization Council. I call this meeting to order. 

Vice President (Tristan):  SOC Seats please announce yourselves, update your attendance on the log and update the SO Matrix at this time:

Agenda Item #1: Review of Service Opportunities/Celebrations

There is now a Community Calendar available for all of your community service wants and needs! Keep track of upcoming service opportunities through this calendar.

Speaking of community service, it is now time to celebrate your recent involvement within community service. We will take 2 minutes to share our experiences.

Agenda Item #2: Winter Formal Planning: Vote on our FINAL TICKET DESIGN

Theme: Hollywood Glam

Date: January 23rd, 2016

Time: 8-12 pm

Cost of Ticket: $10
Slogan: "Fame Never Dies: Come out for a Night with the Stars"

At our last meeting, we voted on our top three choices for a logo/ticket design and our slogan (Fame Never Dies: Come out for a Night with the Stars).

Today, we will take a final vote on our logo/ticket design and we will form a committee of individuals who will work to create the tickets.

Agenda Item #3: Winter Formal Planning: Decorations Brainstorming

Today we will continue brainstorming ideas for decorations. Please include pictures with your decoration ideas.

Every SOC member needs to sign up for a committee.

Every SOC member needs to sign up for a committee. Please commit to a committee you are interested in and know you would give your time to.

What we need to determine for Winter Formal:

Theme, Date/Time, DJ, Decorations, Cost of Ticket, Ticket Selling Sign-Ups, Creating the Ticket, Tuesday Newsday Advertising, Concessions, Coat Check, Sign-Ups for Decorations and Cleaning up Afterwards, CONTRACTS (You must update every year-even if you have had one in the past)

It has been proposed that we alter the name of the SOC from the "Student Organization Council"
