-Current Fundraising/Comm. Service opportunities:

• United Way: Quota met: FRYSC center will now receive shoes for NC kiddos
• Shoes for Souls: gives to FRYSC center
• Goodwill: NC Schools have Goodwill acct.
• Donating clothes and telling the Goodwill employees: "I'm making this donation in the name of the Nelson Youth Service Centers." FRYSC receives money per item sold to provide for our own youth
• Feeding America:
• We currently have 3 TNHS kids involved in the Backpack Program right now. Funding a child is $100.00.
• New SOC goal: fund kids in the Backpack Program this year?
• St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry
• When families are in need of food they are referred to St. VDP
• Donating food is a great way to support
• Angel Tree
• Community Action Council
• Angels can be sponsored by clubs

Good News:

• Awesome VP for the SOC!
• GNation supporting our awesome District Champ Boys Soccer Team
• Octoberfest- after FFA Meeting
• Nationals Night: FFA
• Scrimmage with NCHS and Academic buzzer system to come for the Academic team
• Show Club = FIRST MEETING! :D

New Business:

• Staying after until 5:30 on THIS FRIDAY to decorate for the MM
• We will receive 40% of the proceeds from the concessions
• We need parent volunteers for the concessions stand
• Parents to be at TNHS on Saturday at 1
• All SOC members are having a SOC party during lunch ticket sales EVERY DAY THIS WEEK
• Money from dance? Awesome Shirts!
• We need 100 people to attend dance
• If this dance does not go well, Homecoming Dances will be out of the question
• St. Catherines needs the email for Tuesday Newsday
• We are gonna have a PHOTO BOOTH at the dance
